Heat transmission solutions for wastewater heat recovery
in the wastewater canal, sewer
Wastewater heat recovery in the canalisation is based on special knowhow on thermal design and the heat exchanger design. KASAG has developed its own calculation software and patented a heat exchanger system solution for that purpose.
Following solutions in the canalisation are being offered for energy recovery:
- Sewer heat exchanger, installed in the brine of the wastewater canal with pipelines on top or at the bottom for different canal forms and cross-section geometries for canals (man-size) higher than 0.8m.
- Sewer heat exchanger, integrated into concrete pipes or concrete forms.
- Pressure pipe heat exchanger or wastewater pipe heat exchanger, pre-assembled as complete wastewater pipes set up underground or above ground.
- Double pipe heat exchanger as external heat exchanger for unfiltered drained wastewater from canals.
Based on the overall system, KASAG creates thermal design for you; it designs, constructs, builds and installs the heat exchanger solutions.
