Energy efficiency for processes in batch cooking plants
KASAG Swiss AG has investigated the possibility of an optimal energy system solution with a reputed university in Switzerland.
The examination was performed by means of Pinch analysis and the results show an interesting potential with regard to energy efficiency.
These findings will primarily be incorporated into new (turnkey) plants, since, for most part, modifications to the energy systems in the existing plants, factories can be undertaken only with significant investment. However, the potential of fine-tuning must certainly be investigated.
