Energy use in sewage treatment plants and from surface water

Concepts for energy utilization

in sewage treatment plants and surface waters

Energy recovery from purified water and the water in the sewage treatment plant ideally transpires during the discharge. Even the processes of the sewage sludge treatment (digested sludge) offer great potential. In the case surface waters, mainly lakes are used for large plants, so that lake water is transmitted through special plate heat exchangers. In streams, for instance, the turbine re-cooling of hydraulic power stations occurs directly in the river.

KASAG heat exchanger systems can be used both for heating as well as for cooling.
