The principle of the counter-rotating mixer (coaxial mixer) is based on two mixing systems that move in opposite directions on the same axis. The rotational speed can be set individually. This allows for an optimal adjustment of the cooking and cooling processes.

Vertical co-axial mixing systems are particularly suited for efficient mixing and offer other benefits, such as less product loss and easier cleaning.
