Strong lye regulation for mercerizing machines

The purpose of the system is to maintain a constant concentration of the circulating mercerizing lye of the impregnating compartment of mercerizing machines. The caustic soda concentration regulation REGULA-S can be retro-fitted to old mercerizing machines, and can be used for wet-in-wet mercerizing and/or dry-in-wet mercerizing |

The water flow is controlled by the level in the mercerizing lye tank (LS1). If the level is reduced, on/off valve V1 opens and water (or weak lye) will flow into the caustic soda tank. The strong lye flow is controlled by the lye regulation depending on concentration in the circulated mercerizing lye. If the concentration is lower than the set-point, control valve V2 for strong lye opens more, if it is higher than set-point, it closes more or completely. The concentration regulation will always ensure that the concentration of the circulated lye is adjusted to the set-point. |
